This is a 15 hr course that covers the importance of vestibular processing in relation to vision. We will cover the basic anatomy and physiology with respect to clinical practice. Evaluation and treatment will be included covering medical concerns, visual development, basic ocular motor functioning and strabismus. A special emphasis will be upon dizziness and how the optometrist plays a critical role with the use of lenses, prisms, selective occlusion, filters and visual rehabilitation. The attendee will leave the meeting with an in depth understanding of how important vestibular processing is to the visual process.
