SEMINAR | WORKSHOP
The title of this seminar/Workshop is:
”Integrating Vision, Vestibular and Proprioceptive senses.“
During many Vision Therapy (VT) procedures, patients are reminded to “BREATHE” and “SOFTEN THEIR GAZE”. In practice I have found that it is not always easy for patients to just “switch on their breathing” and “look softly”. This, like all the other visual and motor skills work done during VT needs to be cultivated and integrated into regular practices.
I would like to explore with you some of the breathing techniques and integrative practices that help reset the vagus nerve and stimulate the vestibular and proprioceptive senses. Incorporating these practices in the initial stages of VT can enhance benefits for patients including reaching their goals earlier.
I will also share VT case studies of patients and the improvements they have made using these daily practices.
I advice the participants, if possible, to bring to the seminar a yoga mat and foam rubber balance pad.
